Here’s my blog post on Tripawds.com where you can get more information about Triday.
Triday (3/3 each year) is Tripawds Awareness Day. A Tripawd is a dog or cat living life on three legs due to illness or injury requiring amputation.
Tripawds.com is THE organization for pet parents seeking information and support regarding three-legged animals, or the facts about amputation surgery, recovery and beyond.
If you are so inclined, Tripawds could use some donations to support their cause. If it wasn’t for this organization, I would have been lost when my dog was recovering from amputation.
Also today, for those living on the Grand Strand, there is a FREE, pet-friendly benefit for ALL the shelters in our area, taking place at Barefoot Landing from 1 - 6 p.m. All proceeds from Rock ‘n’ Paws go to our local shelters, AND pets are welcome (as they always are at Barefoot Landing).
Here’s the line-up of entertainment for the afternoon:
1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., King Tide Band
3:45 p.m. to 6 p.m., Craig Sorrells Project
This is pet festival time on the Grand Strand, so each weekend there’s probably SOMETHING going on to benefit pets between now and the end of summer. Stay tuned!
Here’s a picture of our Petey from last week’s event, Macaroni Mania, at North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex!
